Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
We all live in fl. Divorced 10 years. My youngest who is last one under 18 wants tostay w dad now. Possibly week on week off thing. Problems this.. I got squat in divorce. Joint custody n 550 month support for 3 kids. I pay all ins. He got old house if he paid me 10,000. And gets to claim 1 kid a year on taxes.
So he never took them for summers or weekends and never helped w school or medical dental. The answer was ask mom that's what child supports for, but now he wants to redo paperwork n do no support n still hasn't paid me for house or half medical or dental that I'm still payin off creditcards for n he still claims last kid.
What can I do.. if I say no I feel like I'm telling my son he can't have his dad. If I say ok I get kicked in the butt agagin. Any suggestions???
Thank u for listening

If you settled for a lousy deal in the divorce, that doesn't mean you can relitigate the settlement. However, If he hasn't complied with the terms of the Marital Settlement Agreement, then you can force enforcement. If the Court finds in your favor, there is a good chance the Judge would hold your ex responsible to reimburse your reasonable attorney fees and costs.
If you opt to proceed without the assistance of counsel, be aware that you will not be entitled to a do over if things go badly.

An internet inquiry is no substitution for an in-office consultation with an attorney.
If your situation falls within the Greater Tampa Bay area (Hillsborough, Pinellas or Pasco Counties) , I would be happy to schedule you for a no obligation half hour office consultation.
