Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I live in Fl and my sister in NC. My sister is a victim of date rape and is a minor. She wants me to raise her child, but still remain the mother. In this case, would the child qualify for any type of suplementary income as in the case of a deceased or incarcerated parent?

No. You would have to file a petition for temporary custody by extended family, in order to make things legal. Then the child would be a legal dependent of yours.
