Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I live in Florida, as does my ex husband. In our divorce agreement I had agreed to pay a certain amount of debt. He kept sending me the bills late, so I would have to pay a late fee. I then stopped making the payments. His then girlfriend loaned him the money to pay it off. He is now trying to sue me almost five years later for this money. All of this took place in August of 2007. We were divorced in January of 2008. Can he do this?

If your decree stated that you were to pay then he could take you back to court for contempt. However, since you paid all the late fees, I would pull the records to show what you paid and what he did.
