Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

live in Florida, married here. Wife is leaving and wanting a non contested devorce. She is going to New Jersey. I'm 79 and she is 52. I am retired and she works. The problem she has is distribution of property, home. Value, 234,000....mortgage balance is $255,000. we have no equitity in home . we have good credit and payments are current now, but, neither can afford alone.I want to keep trying but she is going. what do you suggest? Thanks

Need more info. Are you saying she wants money out of the house? Is the deed in both names? Is the mortgage in both names? Was this marital property or did you own prior to the marriage? You can not stop her from leaving but she may be responsible for payments? How long were you married? Does she have a 401K ? You may be entitled to part of it.
