Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I live in Florida and pay child support for my son. The mother recently moved with him to Columbia. She uses a friends Florida address to continue recieveing mail and her child support payments are deposited to a US bank account. She does not reside at the address she provides in the US. I made the courts aware of the situation. But every time she gets served with a notice to appear. She immediately returns to US and claims she was on vacation. I guess, what I am asking is if she resides there am I legally obligated to pay? Also for what lenth of time can a person leave and it still be looked upon as vacation?

You are obligated to pay child support per your court order. However, the real question, is what type of visitation do you have. If you are not seeing your child then you should move for an motion of contempt for non visits and ask for a modification of visitation, child support.
