Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I live in Florida but my wife moved to Virginia with our kids this past August. She plans to file for divorce on or around Valentine's Day as that's the time that she'll have resided in Virginia for 6 months and be a legal Virginia resident. When she left she made promises that she's now decided to not honor. I've heard that I don't have to sign the divorce papers and that will prevent the divorce from going through indefinitely, is this true? One of the promises she made was that in summer 2016 she'd move to Georgia as I would so we could be in the same town and our kids could have me around. What options do I have to try to make this happen?

If she files in Virginia, the divorce will be under Virginia law. Few lawyers in Florida are licensed to practice in Virginia, so it's unlikely anyone here would be able to answer your question. As a practical matter, no judge can order her to move to Georgia.

It only takes one person to get a divorce so whether you sign documents or not she will divorce you.
