Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I live in key west, fl and just went through a very nasty divorce. I hired lawyers out of west palm beach, fl and I feel that they are really taking advantage of me and taking me for a ride. When the divorce first started I was told that I would not have to pay any atourneys costs out of my settlement and now they are telling me otherwise. They have it set up so that my lump sum settlement goes to a trust in there name and they will take what I owe them (which is $46,000 and they have done absolutely nothing) which leaves me hardly anything left from my settlement. They are charging me for everything including costs that my ex husband continues to incur. Can they do this? Can they take money from my settlement?

It will depend on what your contract with them states. Also, did the judge award you attorney fees, if so, then you must pursue obtaining them from your ex.
