Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I live in Manatee County, Florida and live with my aging mother. I tend to her daily needs, there for her emotionally, do the shopping, cook, take her to doctor visits, etc. Is it legal for her to pay me for her services? I am her power of attorney. Also, if she does pay me, do I have to show that I pay for some of the bills, or rent or anything?

you can go to the social security office and complete the caregiver form and her income will come to you. You just need to keep a record of your ex penses.

Yes she can pay you. If she does you should have the agreement in writing signed by her so that when she passes the other heirs cannot come after you to recoup the money.
