Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Live out of state and have a child support hearing coming up through Dept of Revenue. If I have to go there I will lose 2 days of work. Do I need to be there or can I call in? If I call in will it look bad for my case?

You should check with the hearing officer's or judge's office first to see if they will allow you to call in. It may not look good if you don't appear, but, on the other hand, it's becoming more and more common to phone in to hearings.

Check to see if you can call in. I don't believe it will make a difference whether you appear in person or over the phone.
