Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex lives in Florida and is taking me to court for tempoary needs to determine temporary timesharing plan and other relief for our daughter. what does this mean and what can i do?? we were never married and the child is nine yrs old. he is also wanting to b the majority parent??? what does this mean?

A temporary needs hearing is for the purpose of determining things like child support, visitation, custody etc. Are you living in Florida? If not, Florida may not have jurisdiction and he would have to file an action in the state you are residing in. Majority parent is a request to have the child live with him giving you visitation.
