Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am living in Florida with my mother and her husband, I have no job and have been unable to obtain one because of my past legal offenses. My estranged wife of 2 years recently came to our house dropped off my 3 daughters and said I had to take them because she was losing their home and had to move in with her boyfriend. Do I have a right to go to Public Services and get food stamps or anything? My estranged wife will not give me the girls social security numbers or any info that I need so I have been unable to do anything. She is still claiming that the kids live with her and getting help while they are actually living with me at my moms..What can I , and what should I do to get help?
