Just how long does it take?

In the middle of August me ex and I signed papers for a modification to our previous divorce decree, in regards to child custody. His attorney sent them to the judge and we havent heard from anyone since. Weve both called his attorney, numerous times, requesting information on the status, and we're being put off. Is this generally a few month ordeal to have the judge sign some papers? Thank You for your time!

If the attorney follows up with the Judge's office, I can sometimes get it done the same day on urgent matters and usually the next week on non-priority matters. I can assist you with both the court and the attorney.
