Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
loosing custody
My xboyfriend and I had a baby, we are so not together! He is trying to get full custody! He took of when the baby was 2 weeks old and then started sending me summons, oh yeah he's a lawyer. I give him visitation, the judge made it supervised for 12 weeks then 4th judical. How ever he is still telling me that he's going to get full custody! Our child was sick and had to go to the doctors and I invited him but ''he had plans'', he has not called to check on the child or anything. He sends me harrassing letters and motions where the judge granted a order of protection against him and his ''lawyer''. He refuses to fillout the support paper work and we did a motion for that! He's costing me a fortune, for something that i don't think he will every get custody. I'm a good mother and work from home, the baby is always with me.
Can he really get full custody? They are going on case law about a mother refusing vistation, and I did when we where in the mist of all of this and there was no paternity established, he was signing away he rights and then flip flopped so I don't put him on the birth certificate. He wanted the DNA testing not me...
Will I loose my child and can the fla bar do anything, if I file a complaint will it affect my case

Re: loosing custody
It looks like you were awarded residential custody of the child by the court already. To change that he needs to prove a substantial change of circumstances. Not allowing visitation may be one; however, visitation should have been spelled out when custody was established with you. If so, follow it.
If he's a lawyer and he has a "lawyer" representing him you must be represented. In the long run, it will be worth it.
