Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

lost income while the child is ill

I was a pro se in divorce case. our child has primary residence with me- so I guess I have the costody and my husband has 2 week nights over night visitation rights. There is stated shared parental responsibility. The final judgemnt does not address an issue, how to share finacial responsibility during child ilness, he takes it for granted that I am the one who needs to take time off from work or pay independently for babbysitting. What is the standard , how to deal with this. Can I take it back to Court and request contribution for that somehow?

Re: lost income while the child is ill

There is no standard, but if your child is disabled or is more often ill because of some type of condition, you can possibly go back to court and ask for an increase in child support above the guidelines to cover your excessive missed work.
