Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Lucreita Becude answered and had questions...I am responding

Lucreita wrote...You wait until the day before you go to court to now ask questions. First of all why is he asking for child support - who has the child? As to alimony? Were you awarded alimony or did you waive alimony at the first trial. If you wish to have any standing with this court - I suggest you gather every financial record you have, all documentation as to the child and be ready to defend your actions in the court. You should have an attorney but if you really can not afford one, just remember there are no do overs when you are in court. If you need an extension of time, then ask for an extension when you go to court - tell the judge that you would like some time to seek the services of an attorney and get the extension. AND GET THE ATTORNEY. That's the best case scenario for you.

Ive tried everything I know to get free or low cost atty representation and was told my case didnt have a significant need.

My x doesnt pay me child support, just alimony...which I think is wrong.

but now want to stop all payments ...and buy him a car.. REALLY?????

I dont know the legal system and need help, if I can get an extension are you available for representation, as my case is much more involved than just alimony and child support.
