Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I made a dumb mistake when I was 22 and I got married with a friend, I did not know how to do all the paper work to get a divorce, so time passed he left to New York but we remain great friends becasue we did not even had a relationship, he has hes fiance and I have mine, but we realized we totally forgot to get divorce after 6 years , I am doing all that now, but my question is all of my falily lived in El Salvador I also have a double nationality so is it ok if i go back to El Salvador and remarry with all my family? I mean after i am divorce i can do whatever i want right? I have the right to do my life the right way right?

I assume it's all good in El Salvador once you get a Florida divorce. It would be in the U.S. You might want to check with an El Salvadoran lawyer to be certain. Nothing about a U.S. divorce prevents you from going to El Salvador, and I'm almost certain El Salvador recognizes U.S. divorces, though, like I said, check with an El Salvadoran lawyer to be sure.
