marriage in florida

If a man asks a woman to marry him in open court in front of a judge, is it deemed legal binding if the woman accepts the proposal of marriage in front of the judge. (Reference: Ted Bundy proposal in approx 1978 - made in open court)

Because I have only seen Bundy do it I have not researched it. I do not know the answer.

There is no such thing as a binding proposal for marriage. If you accept and then later decide not to get married, the other cannot enforce the marriage. That would be against public policy.
