Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Marriage

My husband is living in Las Vegas due to a job transfer and I am in Florida by myself. I recently got let go from my job and have no income coming in. I have no idea how I am going to pay rent let alone my bills, is there anything that I can do to get funds from my husbands checks. I have asked him for help and for some odd reason he refuses to send me money. Other then getting a divorce what can I do right now and fast?

There is no law requiring your husband to send you money or otherwise support you. You can file for legal separation to get temporary alimony, but he'll probably respond with a countersuit for divorce.
