Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I got married at age 18 which at the time i was homeless, when i met someone who offered me their home and support if i helped them get their papers in the US. I understand that is not legal but i was young and wasnt thinking about consequences. When the time came for the interview im pretty sure they were just scaring me by telling me they have proof that our marriage was fake and so i broke down and told the truth. I had to write down my confession and i was told that by doing that i would be ok and let go and he will just be deported. So I left and i never spoke to him again. Now im trying to get divorced and i contacted the guy im married to and he gave me a file number or something and said i could find out how to get divorced with that. My main concern is, how do i go about getting divorced from this man and will i be in any kind of trouble? Im much older now but im not sure how all of this goes down. Any advice would help

Goto the self help department at your local court house for the forms you need. In the alternative, retain counsel.
The divorce part is easy. Take a look at www.flcourts.org and see if you can find the forms you need. If not, you'll probably need a lawyer. As far as admitting to a federal imiigration-related felony, you should speak to a lawyer right away, because you could certainly be in trouble for that.
