Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I got married in California in Sept 2012. We only lived together in Lebanon for 30 days. I want a divorce, but she is refusing. Can I get it annulled? Is she entitled to alimony?

If you can establish the 6 months of residence in Florida you can file the divorce in Florida. Alimony is unlikely but not impossible as there are different types of alimony in Florida. You will need to meet with an attorney and provide information as to income, her needs etc.

An annulment v. dissolution (divorce) will depend on the facts surrounding the marriage and subsequent actions. Furthermore, annulment does not necessarily prevent an award of alimony.

Consult with an attorney.
