Getting Married without getting divorce from your first spouse, legal ramificati

If a person has been legally married, and for nine years have been unofficially separated and residing

in different states and one of them marries again

in the iterim without getting a divorce. What are the

legal ramifications for that person who married again

in the state of Florida.

You likely have jurisdictional issues. In which

state, Florida or Massachusetts, does the

bigamist reside? How long has he or she been

there? In which state are you? Are you the bigamist or the still-single spouse?
