Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I was married in 1998, in New Jersey. We have a 10 year old daughter. We have been seperated since 2/2008. I moved to Florida alone March 1,2010. I would like to file for divorce, my wife remains in New Jersey. Can I file in Florida or do I have to file in New Jersey? Thanks for your help.

You may file in Florida as this has been your domicile for at least 6 months. For a free consultation, please contact my office at 1-800-408-5818 or email me at [email protected].

You can but Florida has no jurisdiction over your ex wife to be and so I suggest you find out from her if she will allow jurisdiction - meaning ok you can file for divorce and I will accept service and file my answer an waiver in the state of florida.
