Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am getting married October 31 to a man worth 25 million. He just presented me with a prenup which pretty much states after 15 years I would get a one time payment of $75,000. I gave up my career and have been living with him for the past two years. He leased me a Maserati, we travel on his private jets, I don't work just live the life of luxury now. And live in a $2 million condo that I take care of and we decorated. He does not want me working. Question, am I better off not getting married signing a prenup or ,in the event our relationship ends ,seeking palimony? Ps . About a year ago he put me in his will giving me the condo and cash and he also put me on his life insurance policies .. He clearly wants me taken care of if anything happens to him.

There is no such thing as palimony and he can change his will anytime.. By signing a pre nup. agreement, you give up your inheritance and divorce rights as a spouse. Bad decision.

I agree 100% with Mr. Slater. Get a lawyer to represent you in negotiating the pre nup!! Even if you are willing to accept those bad terms in case of a divorce (which I don't recommend), you may want that pre nup to state that it doesn't apply in the event of his death. And many more details... E.g., how about if you have children, what would you get as the mother of his children?

Palimony does not exist in FL. He can remove you from his will and all his accounts whenever he wants. You should retain a lawyer to negotiate the pre-nup.
