Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Married with problems

My wife and I, have been married for thirty years, no sex for five. I ask her for a divorce. She tells me, just go have you an affair, she said were sixty years old we should stay together.

What would happen if I did and she got the goods on me. could I loose everything ?

Re: Married with problems

Florida is a no-fault state so adultery would not be a factor in whether you could obtain a divorce. It is a factor in how a court distributes marital assets. If your wife can prove you wasted siginificant marital assets as part of an extra-mraital affair, a court could divide your assets in a manner which compensates your wife for the monies wasted by you.
