Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have been married for 25 years. I know I entitled to perminent alimony, but my husband keeps telling me that it will dissipate after a few years. Is this true? He makes 160,000. a year and I want $4000 a month to live off of. I only make about 21,000 a year with my skills.

Its pretty much set in stone. However, if he retires and his income is not able to support the amount of alimony, then yes, it will decrease.

An application must be made to the court to determine alimony.
