Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I've been married now for a little over three years. My wife has two daughters from a previous marriage. Her and I now have our own son together. Her ex husband does not contribute anything except child support - and he's still trying to get that lowered! He is also unwilling to help out with the girls' medical expenses, any sports or after school activities - it seems i'm putting in all the funding for that. Also, her ex husband is still taking her to court over child custoday and support issues. They were divorced back in April of 2005 - and me, being a nice guy has put in over $20,000 in legal fees for my wife to battle with her ex husband.

I feel i'm at a wall at this point. I can't afford to keep paying for her legal fees, but she still wants to fight for her kids. She can't get free legal assistance, even though she does not work, our household income is too high.

My wife is telling me that because I married her, I married her children as well. I don't agree with that. Am I legally responsible to pay for all of these things? Legal fees, children activities, medical coverages for her two daughters??

I'm actually considering divorcing her myself to save myself from further financial doom!

Legally, no. Has she asked the court to have the ex pay for her attorney fees?
