Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Not married/want to move child out of state

My boyfriend(father) and I are probably going to split up. I would like to move to my home state if this occurs. He says the courts wont let me and Ill have to stay in Florida near him. Am I stuck in this state just because we have a child together? Its not that I dont want him to ever visit his Father, I just have more family and friend support in another state. My other option is to move across the state to be near his only grandparents, my boyfriend has no license, so would I have to live close to him or can I at least move around in the state of Florida??

You should not leave the county in which you live unless and until you have sought an order from a court regarding the custody of the child. The father has the same rights as a parent that you do. If you leave, you may be found to have done so illegally and face serious consequences. How would you feel if he took the children and moved far away from where you live?
