Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

We are in the middle of a divorce and my estranged wife is in prison on a 16 year sentence. i just got a letter from her attorney asking for a motion for abatement. because she has a clemency hearing coming up to try and get released early. What is a motion for abatement?

It's a motion to freeze child support until she gets out of prison.
