Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am in the middle of a divorce and I recently had to regain possession of my car that I had purchased for my ex due to her recieving parking and speeding tickets that were going unpaid. After I took the vechile back she will no longer let me see my daughter. I have filed an emergency motion for time sharing but I ve been told that this can take months. I have proof that she will only let me see my daughter if I give her the car back. Is this extortion ? Do I have any rights at all in this ? Who can I contact other than my lawyer who tells me just to sit back and wait ? I can't beleive that she is doing something legal by keeping my daughter from me that I have had 3 times a week since June of last year.. HELP !!!

It's not extortion. And your lawyer is right. It often takes months to get a hearing for temporary visitation. In the bigger counties, you have to wait until after mediation, and that alone can take a couple of months to get to. Take heart in this: when your wife asks for custody, guess what fun your lawyer will have telling the judge about all the times your wife denied your visitation? Who will look like the better parent then?
