Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am in the middle of a nasty divorce. My wife has been spreading all kinds of untrue things about me. I was recently visited by DCF because either my wife called them of told someone else untrue things and they called DCF. Currently I have 50/50 time sharing with my kids. My sister also lives in the home and has been drug into all of this because my wife has said terrible things about her to. DCF wanted to speak with her but she was not ready to talk to them (didn' feel presentable). This has been very hard on her and she just wants to leave the state for a while. Can she just leave not having spoken with DCF? What are her rights. She just doesn't want to have to deal with all this. Does she have to talk to them?

If you are in the middle of a "nasty divorce" you have an attorney. You should direct your question to your attorney.
Unless there is a court order stopping her from leaving, I see no reason why she could not. I suggest she call them on the telephone and at least speak to them. This will probably not cause a major glitch in your divorce action, but if your sister won't speak on your behalf, then there may be a problem.
