Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Modification of Visitation/Child Support

My ex-wife wants to do a Modification of Visitation and says every time they review it, they also have to review Child Support. I have no problems with this. However, she will be getting less money. I always thought the two issues (Modification of Visitation & Child Support) were different.

Re: Modification of Visitation/Child Support

Visitation and Child support are generally not linked by Courts. I am not sure who would review visitation other than you and your ex-wife. If visitation is either unexercised or significantly decreases, a Court can take this into consideration in establishing child support by departing from Child Support guidelines.
