Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Modifying support

My question deals with child support and corporations. I am hoping to start a business with partners. We will be a corporation that issues stock. If the business is successful, can my ex-wife try and sue for part of my stock in the company, claiming that because of my increased revenue she is entitled to more support? Or is she only entitled to try to get more cash from me personally? We have been divorced 12 years and support will be completed within the next five years.

Re: Modifying support

She is always entitled to go back to Court and ask for a modification of child support based on a substantial change of circumstances. She will not be entitled to any interest in the business.

This is all set forth in Florida law. I suggest that you consult a family lawyer for specific advice.
