My mom left me at my grandma's when my dad passed away(I was eight) and just left me there..... its been 7yrs now. I see my mother once in a while she gets my dads benifit check which is in my name and widows benifit, I don't see a penny of that money . Most of the moneyngoes to seminal casino..my grandma now wants to kick me out. My mom can't support me.....can I livr with a frien who will help support me and is glad to have me around? Or woukd it be concidered running away? If I did run away coukd they call the cops and bring me back? I'm 15 turning 16 in sept.

What a sad situation. You don't say why your grandma is kicking you out - are you in school? I suggest you contact the Dept of Children and Family Services (DCF) in your area and ask for their help. Since you are entitled to the social security that your dad left to you, it may be possible that the DCF can place you in a home where you will receive the benefit of a good education and your funds can be accounted for.
