Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My mom has has legal custody of my daughter since 2006. After I was released from jail in 2007 my mom returned my daughter to me. Recently a paternity test was taken and I found out who my daughters father was, took her to visit my mom went to DCF and said I took her without her permission. Now my daughter is back with my mom, after the past 2 years I have taken care of her. Now she's saying I can't talk to her or call my daughter because I refuse to bend to her every will and give her money whenever she ask for it. I'm not working so that's kind of impossible. I've finished my parenting classes and I have only to find a job. I don't think my mom is fit to take care of my daughter, she doesn't work and she doesn't have the patience or time for it. Should I call DCF and let them know they should remove my daughter out of her custody and place her with another family member?

Calling DCF can often backfire, but since DCF is already involved, it probably wouldn't hurt. Still, you should probably sit down with a dependency lawyer. If you've completed your case plan, you should be nearing the point of reunification.
