Money gifts is it joint property

I Am the executor of my moms trust.the question is if my mom gives a sum of money to my sister now(while shes alive)and my sister gets divorced does her spouse get half of it?my sister lives in italy.

Inheritances are not considered marital assets in Ohio. However, the beneficiary of an inheritance needs to keep it separate, without commingling it into other marital assets.
