So long as either of you qualifies for the residency requirement of Florida, which is to have resided in Florida for a minimum six months prior to filing for divorce Florida then that pretty much would be your minimum requirement. As for specifics, depends on whether you have children and if there are issues regarding custody of the children and division of your marital properties.

I agree with Carmen Demapan as to the first you need to see who qualifies for the residency requirement. As to the what you should do will depend on what is needed to be released from the marriage. How long have you been married? Are there children involved? Is there property to be divided? credit card debts, vehicles etc. Please contact my office for an appointment.
