Name on a mortgage

If 2 people are living together and not married and have a house mortgage together. One person wants the other one to leave. What are the rights of the person leaving who has been paying the mortgage, do they have any rights as far as the equity in the house and the property in the house?

Re: Name on a mortgage

It all depends on whose name is on the deed. If both names are on the deed, you are both entitled to the equity.
