Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Me and the mother of my six children split up August of last year(in Florida). I took her to court(florida) for visitation/custody and recieved unsupervised visits around November. As soon as I recieved my visitation she skipped town. She turns up in New Jersey April 30th dead. The sister of my babymamma is trying deseperately to claim my children. The mother even wrote a notarized letter trying to slide the kids off to the sister. The children has been judicated as Florida residents in florida courts and im the father. I just recieved my full custody from the courts but DCF in New Jersey say they won't honor this judges ruling. The sister has filed for custody in New Jersey. My question is will NJ honor my FLA ruling under the federal rules of child exchange?

You'd have to ask a New Jersey lawyer that question. Another laws of Florida and most other states, you now have full custody of your child, since the mother is deceased. It's doubtful that New Jersey has jurisdiction unless there has been some form of child abuse in New Jersey but, again, you'd have to speak with a New Jersey lawyer about this.
