Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My mother has been trying to see her father (my grandfather) who has Parkinson's and dymentia and is in the care of his wife. His wife is keeping medical conditions, status, and hispitalizations from my mother and now allowing her to see him and not telling her when or where he is being cared for when he is hospitalized. Does my mother have any legal rights as a biological child to her father should this behavior continue from his wife? He is not long for this world and wants nothing more than to be able to spend time with her dad before his time comes.

If your mother is all that concerned she should be asking the questions. However, if there really is something amiss, I suggest she contact the Elder Abuse hotline and file a complaint. They do not reveal who contacted them and they will do an investigation.
