Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My mother is interested in a divorce. The problem is we are U.S residents with property in a foreign country. My father who is now disabled, has been unemployed and ungrateful for the past decade. He makes no efforts to get better in his current condition and has no where else to go. He is insured because of my mother's part time job.I am the main bread winner in the family [their son]. How does she go about getting the divorce and legal advice on the matter as it is greatly complex.
Note that she did not go ahead with the divorce before we migrated as it would have caused difficulity.

She can still pursue divorce here. If you need a detailed consultation, please feel free to reach me directly.
Since she is a US citizen there is no reason that she can not file for divorce and have him removed from the home. If he is threatening her, this is a form of domestic violence and she may file an injunction against him. As to the foreign property, depends on more detailed info.
