Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My mother passed away two months ago, she was legally married at the time but had been separated for a year and a half. They were only married for a total of about 5 years. I was wondering what my rights are to get her things that she acquired before their marriage including my baby pictures and old family furniture, and her jewlery.

If she died without a will, you are entitled to onehalf of her assets. As to the personal things, I wold think that the spouse would not object to your having your family things.
