Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

mothers rights

I have lived w/the father (name of birth certificate) of my 1 year old for 18 months. I am a stay at home Mom and take care of her 24/7. He recently left and has left 20+ very drunk threatening messages about taking her and now, with no recollection, wants to come home. Finally, (sorry) what are my rights as to support and leaving the state to be with family?

Re: mothers rights

You'll have to sue him, either through the Department of Revenue or through a private paternity lawsuit, in order to receive child support, which you are entitled to. Florida law forbids you from removing the child permanently from the state without the father's permission or the permission of a judge, however.
