can a mother who was never married to the father of her child leave the state of fl if the father has not been in the childs life for more than 5 years now. he has had any contact with the child or made any attempt to pay child support

Nothing in your statement indicated that he has established paternity or has been legally declared the father. He's not visiting the child and not paying support, so why should he care where you go. You say he has not been in the child's life for the last five years, what was he doing before that?

If I were you, I'd check the putative father's registry and, maybe, call him to see if he cares. Go see an attorney in your area for a free consult.
