Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I want to move out of state and have a child custody issue. I have full custody of my child. Do I need to ask for permission to move out of state? My ex has not seen or had any contact with my child for over six years. He is also behind by about 38,000 dollars in child support. I have had one payment this year. We have not moved or changed any numbers since the child was born. His father however has moved quite often and have no clue to where he resides. Please advise.

You still must seek permission from the judge before you can move your child out of state, but it sounds like you have one of those rare cases where permission will be granted. Relocation cases are always a little tricky and full of procedural traps. You're not far from me, so contact me if you need my help.
