Can I move to another State

I live in Florida. The father of my 2 year old son and I have never been married. We have not been together since my son was four month old. We have no set legal custody or child support. He pays my son's daycare and picks him up on the weekends when he is not busy. I want to relocate to New York and he tells me he won't allow that. Can I move without his consent?

There is nothing preventing you to move however, there is no way to prevent him from seeking a legal resolution.
