Yes. Unless there is a separation agreement in place, the date when the Petition for Dissolution is filed is the cut off date for what will be determined a marital asset. As such, if you purchase the home before the Petition is filed, the home can be deemed a marital asset to be divided regardless of how it is titled.

Yes it will be. I agree with Ms. Hall however, not knowing your financial status will also make a difference in the split of assets.
