Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I moved to another state. Will the child support case automatically transfer to the new state? My check has started being garnished in the new state for child support payments already. What am i required to do if moving to another state, as the non-custodial parent who pays child support? Moved from Salem Mass. to Tampa FL

Your question is controlled by Massachusetts law, not Florida law, so I don't know for sure. You'd have to ask a Mass. lawyer. It's a good sign, though, that they've already started garnishing your check, so it sounds like you don't have to do anything.

By the way, Florida child support is much higher than most states, so you probably just want to leave things as they are. You can check by find a Florida child support guidelines calculator online someplace.
