Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Moving to South Carolina

I am planning to move to SC and at first my ex was ok with it, now he is vowing to stop me.

My future depends on his cooperation for our son.'Can he stop me from moving away?

Thank you, Amanda

Re: Moving to South Carolina

The law has just changed (Oct. 1st) on this issue. There is a legal process that you must go through in order to obtain the court's permission to relocate your child. If you just move without going through the proper legal steps, you run the risk of having to return your child to Florida and facing legal troubles. Ultimately, it's up to the court and there are quite a few things taken into consideration. Feel free to contact me for further discussion.
