moving out of state

I have joint custody of my 6 year daughter and I am thingking about moving to a different state. I was wondering if the father does not approve of this move is there anyway that he can stop us from moving?

Yes. In such a situation, the court has to consider many factors and the decision could very well be in his favor (against your taking the child out of state).

You may want to petition the court for permission to relocate based on best interests of the child.
