Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am currently in Naples, italy. My wife is active duty navy. she had them serve me a protective order for criminal misconduct, details I do not know. Can the military send me back to the states? we have 2 kids 3 and 9yrs old, if they send me back, i will not be able to see my kids. is that legal?
